About the Artist

Susan Stone attended Paier School of Art in Hamden, Connecticut, majoring in illustration and has taken classes at Rhode Island School of Design. However, most of her expertise is due to working as a professional artist since 1975, when her first art-related job was illustrating a weekly newspaper column titled "Wing 'n' Things" for the Waterbury Republican in Connecticut. Since then she has illustrated books, done logo and graphic design, and exhibited in galleries and area shows.

Susan specializes in architectural illustration and book illustration, as well as fine art paintings. She is expert in perspective drawing and with watercolor and / or pen & ink, and is beginning to work with pastels and experiment with etchings.
